What loving Yourself Really Means (From My Point of View)
I think loving yourself means that you have some kind of care and concern for your body. Maybe you don't over-indulge in alcohol or maybe you don't do drugs. Or even if you did those things hopefully you know you need help.
It could also mean simply that you care enough about your body to take a shower, brush your teeth, and put deodorant on. You might also do your laundry or clean your sink if you love yourself, and you also would probably try to eat as right as possible and participate in some regular physical activity.
Even if you don't do everything you probably should, it doesn't necessarily mean you don't love yourself, or you don't deserve to be loved. However, at least if you are making an effort towards recovery all aspects of your life will be improved, including your relationships.
One more Thing it Means
Loving yourself means you know what you are and what you are not capable of, and you set boundaries accordingly. It also means that you do not allow others to mistreat you or misuse your body. It also means that you feel you should strive for the best in life and life life the best you know how.
